Gokyo Peak (or Gokyo Ri) is a peak in the Khumbu region of the Himalayas. It is a part of the largest glacier in the Himalayas called Ngozumpa glacier. It is the neighboring region of where Everest and all the giant peaks that surround it are. In early 2019 my father and i trekked to the basecamp of Mount Everest. As you begin to get closer to the basecamp there is an alternate route called the Gokyo Trek that leads you to the top of Gokyo Ri which is about 24km away from Everest basecamp. From the summit of Gokyo Ri it is possible to see four 8,000-metre peaks (26,000+ ft):
Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu which make for an unforgettable view. Leading up to the journey to Everest basecamp i was at a standstill in my life, i didn't know what i wanted to do for a career and i felt stagnant. During this Trek i came up with the idea to create a brand and name it Gokyo Ri, paying homage to the region that inspired me to go forth with this decision. Shortly after the trip i began to commit myself to the pursuit of forming this concept and displaying my vision to the public eye.
